Repeating motion and thoughts patterns
This project is done with the focus on each individual welding pearl, created by the flouting metal coming from the welder. I am placing the pearls one after another, as the first pearl hints at how to place the next one. I am studying the pearls individual form the moment the melted metal stiffens and finds its permeant state.
The act of making is done whit conscious and unconscious movements. These movements did I study during the working process, while how the final object was to look like had few criteria.
Sound

The sound created when you touch the object is made to keep in contact with the object in finished form.
Making the form of the object hollow and adding welding treads sticking out in-between the metal pears makes the object resonate when stroking the treads.
The purpose of this is not to make an instrument but intended to give the sound of the object as it is. This interaction allows me to get to know the object over time, thereby keeping the contact with the object alive.
Process

Placing each of the welding pearls as in meditative ritual, one by one. Looking at the shape growing util every single pearl was laid. Working in this way where I am being aware of nothing but the movement of the repeating step and the thoughts appearing as the process continues to go on. This gave me the opportunity to observe the thoughts that return like a pattern together with the repeated movement of placing the metal pearls.
Thus, the project becomes an understanding of the connection between repetitive movements and thought patterns.
